Animal & Fish Breeding Program
Location: Klungkung and Karangasem Orphanages

Cost : Currently Budgeted at AUD$2,000 per annum

THE GOAL OF SELF SUFFICIENCY and OUTCOMES
A further extension of our food program in 2008 to facilitate some level of self sufficiency in the provision of foodstuffs by the orphanages themselves, was to exploit the opportunity to breed animals and, in the case of Karangasem Orphanage, fish, to not only greatly supplement the children’s diet but also provide income to buy their own rice and foodstuffs (and even treats).

At both orphanages there were unused, dilapidated yet suitable facilities for the breeding of Animals and Fish. The only thing lacking was the funding required to kick start a sustainable breeding program - which again requires ongoing funding.

The aims of this initiative are:
KlungKung Orphanage
•    To establish a sustainable Pig and Duck breeding programme at KlungKung Orphanage funding the supply of initial stock of piglets and chicks and additional stock where warranted and the monthly supply of suitable stock feed.
•    To fund a carer/supervisor to manage the
breeding program and encourage the children at KlungKung to learn about sustainable basic food production and animal husbandry for themselves.
•    After allowing for the food needs of the children use the proceeds of the sale of  mature stock to purchase replacement breeding stock and/or other food items (and even treats).

Karangasem  Orphanage
•    To fund the refurbishment of existing unused Fish Farm facilities and the establishment of a sustainable Cat Fish Farm program at Karangasem Orphanage including the
supply of initial stock, additional stock where warranted and the monthly supply of suitable fish feed.
•    To fund a carer/supervisor to manage the Fish Farm program and encourage the children at Karangasem to learn about sustainable basic food production and Fish Farming for themselves.
•    After allowing for the food needs of the children use the proceeds of the sale of  mature Cat Fish stock to purchase replacement fish stock and/or other food items or requirements for the children.

We like it when the most popular shoe designers go ahead cheap replica bags and take leap from creating shoes to arm chocolate. Jesse J. Pliner is well-noted for his luxury leather footwear, together with Lisa Pliner's (his wife and inventive director) line known as 'Lisa'.
